Installation of Transformer, VCB, SF6, OCB

Site Preparation and Survey:

    • Conduct a site survey to assess the installation location for the transformer and circuit breakers.
    • Ensure that the site meets safety, accessibility, and environmental requirements.
    • Prepare the site by clearing obstacles, leveling the ground, and providing adequate space for installation.

Foundation Construction:

    • Design and construct a suitable foundation for the transformer and circuit breakers, considering factors such as soil conditions, load-bearing capacity, and seismic requirements.
    • Excavate the foundation pit, install reinforcement, and pour concrete to create a stable and level base.

Transportation and Handling:

    • Arrange for the transportation of the transformer and circuit breakers to the installation site using appropriate vehicles and handling equipment.
    • Ensure safe handling and transportation practices to prevent damage during transit.

Transformer Installation:

    • Position the transformer on the foundation using lifting equipment such as cranes or forklifts.
    • Securely anchor the transformer to the foundation to withstand environmental conditions and operational loads.
    • Connect the transformer to incoming and outgoing cables, busbars, and grounding systems according to manufacturer specifications and electrical drawings.

Circuit Breaker Installation:

    • Mount the circuit breakers (VCB, SF6, or OCB) on their respective foundations or support structures.
    • Install auxiliary equipment such as control panels, relay panels, and interlocking systems as per design requirements.
    • Connect the circuit breakers to the electrical network, including incoming and outgoing cables, control wiring, and communication interfaces.

Interconnection and Testing:

  • Establish interconnections between the transformer, circuit breakers, and associated equipment to form a complete electrical system.
  • Conduct pre-commissioning tests and checks to verify the integrity of electrical connections, insulation, and mechanical stability.

Commissioning and Energization:

  • Commission the transformer and circuit breakers by gradually energizing the system and testing its performance under various operating conditions.
  • Verify the functionality of protective relays, monitoring devices, and control systems.
  • Adjust settings and parameters as necessary to optimize the operation of the equipment and ensure compliance with operational requirements and safety standards.

Documentation and Handover:

  • Prepare comprehensive documentation including installation records, test reports, as-built drawings, and operation manuals.
  • Conduct a final inspection and acceptance procedure to confirm that the installation meets the client’s specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide training to operators and maintenance personnel on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the installed equipment.
